Their/Its/His/Her mission is to advance science to inform policy and improve/reduce/enhance the health of individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance use disorders. The NIDA conducts research on the causes/effects/treatments of drug abuse, develops/promotes/funds prevention and treatment programs, and raises/educates/advances public awareness about the dangers of drug use.
